compares it against an algorithm for validation.
This ABA tool
doesn't retrieve any banking information, nor does it verify
if the number is assigned to any given Bank, but
it invaluable to those who only require to know if
the ABA Routing Number is valid.
We
will be adding an option to compare the number to
our database and let you know if that Bank exists
or not. However, to retrieve the Bank
information will require upgrading your account to

you may receive an ABA Routing Number that
contains only 8 numbers, and is missing the 9th
digit. The 9th digit of a Routing Number is
known as the "Check Digit" and is
necessary for successful processing. This tool can
retrieve that digit in seconds.

3 - Great tool if you don't require the full
Bank information, but only need to compare a
routing number with the Bank for screening
purposes. Simply enter a routing number, and click
submit, and if it is current within our database,
it will return the Bank Name associated with that
number.
